Really cool flashback to the first pilot of the original Star Trek, “The Cage”. Odd seeing clips of that show show up as a flashback for Pike since Anson Mount and Jeffrey Hunter look nothing alike. Still cool though and having Spock return to Talos IV was a neat idea for the episode.
